Version: 3 October 2026 · This document forms part of the hosting agreement between Faraday Keynes Ltd trading as Astronomy Host (“we”, “us”) and the subscribing society (“you”, “Customer”, “society”).

1. Standard hosting — £35 / month (or £385 / year prepay) (excl. VAT where VAT applies)

Included:

• Hosted society website + Administration
• 5 GB storage (site + uploads)
• HTTPS on our infrastructure
• Platform software and security updates (scheduled maintenance)
• Website mail using society-supplied SMTP (the society provides and pays for its own mailbox)
• Ticket support for hosting/platform faults via Administration → Hosting support (targets, not an SLA — see Hosting terms section 5)
• Self-serve User guide and page templates
• 14-day self-serve data export after termination when the account is in good standing

2. Add-ons (typical)

• Extra storage: £5 / month per +5 GB (excl. VAT where VAT applies)
• Bring your own domain: no additional monthly domain fee (hosting subscription still applies; you follow the DNS checklist we give you)
• Domain register + DNS through us: quoted when that checkout is live
• Webmaster / migration help: quoted
• Society shop Stripe/PayPal: the society’s own account and fees — not hosting add-ons

3. Billing

Prices in this summary match Hosting terms: sterling, excl. VAT where VAT applies.

Default: hosting and card-billed add-ons via Stripe Checkout. Invoice / bank transfer: by written agreement with billing@astronomyhost.com only — normally at a renewal boundary.

Hosting fees are never charged through Shop → Settings. Society shop cards use the society’s Stripe or PayPal.

Overdue 14+ days → we may suspend after notice. Suspended 30+ days without payment → we may terminate and delete data per Hosting terms section 7. Dispute invoices within 14 days of issue.

4. Support channel and hours

• Platform faults: Administration → Hosting support (preferred) or support@astronomyhost.com
• Billing / invoices: billing@astronomyhost.com
• Sales / general: info@astronomyhost.com
• Hours: UK business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays)
• Included: outages, TLS failure on our side, whole-host platform recovery where we choose to perform it for operational reasons (not a per-society data restore), confirmed platform defects after valid SMTP
• Not included: restoring society data after a data disaster (use your Backup zips); content, training, Design

5. Public demo

Public demo sites are for evaluation only. No support SLA or customisation commitment applies to demo visitors. Paying societies receive the service described above.
